Arkansas women win in Missouri

Dominique Scott set a meet record when she won the Missouri Southern Stampede in 16 minutes, 32.78 seconds Saturday in Joplin, Mo.

The time was a personal best for Scott by 28.03 seconds, and the title was the fourth of her career.

Arkansas put five runners in the top 10 and won with 24 points. Shannon Kienke finished second in 16:58.52. Diane Robison was sixth in 17:09.10, Regan Ward was seventh in 17:12.22, Valerie Ward was eighth in 17:55.22 and Kelsey Schrader was ninth in 17:15.90.

Arkansas men win at Iona

Arkansas picked up its first victory of the season at the Iona Meet of Champions in Bronx, N.Y.

The Razorbacks finished with 46 points.

Alex George finished second overall in 25 minutes, 36.66 seconds, while Stanley Kebenei (25:41.65) was second and Gabe Gonzalez (25:42.94) third. Cale Wallace (25:42.94) was 10th.

Arkansas-Monticello fifth in Mississippi

Arkansas-Monticello finished fifth at the Derrall Foreman Invitational in Cleveland, Miss.

The Boll Weevils shot 867 (291-285-291), which left them 42 shots back of Delta State. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College was second at 835.

Ari Magnusson led the Boll Weevils, finishing seventh at 212 (70-68-74). Hunter Smith tied for eighth at 213 (68-72-73), and Theodore Karlsson was 15th at 215 (74-70-71).

Harding, Oklahoma Christian tie

Barry Foster scored in the 68th minute to help the Bisons tie Oklahoma Christian 1-1 Saturday in Oklahoma City.

Foster’s goal came off an assist from Jeremy Rector and came on Harding’s 17th shot of the game.

Oklahoma Christian scored 76 seconds into the game on a free kick from Doemenico DeGrazia from 45 yards out.

Thomas Schults made two saves for Harding (1-2-1) in the first half before Tyler Melson finished in goal.

Hendrix men loses in 2 OT

Hendrix College lost 1-0 to East Texas Baptist University Saturday in Marshall, Texas.

Christian Garcia scored in the 102nd minute off an assist by Quilton Bridges.

Hendrix had 10 shots in the game and seven corner kicks. Jacob Pierce had two shots on goal but was turned away by East Texas goalkeeper Juan Perales..

Hendrix women lose

Hendrix College lost 2-0 to Hardin-Simmons on Saturday.

Hardin-Simmons outshot Hendrix 23-2, with Evan Pipkin and Julianne Kucera scoring both goals.

Jordan Rausch made seven saves for Hendrix.

VOLLEYBALL

Lyon College swept by William Woods

Lyon College lost 3-0 (25-18, 25-9, 25-21) to William Woods on Saturday in Fulton, Mo.

Jordan Fleitman and Katrina Frickleton led Lyon (2-10) with five kills and Emily Sprick had 18 assists. Makenzie Sharp had nine digs while Halley Watson and Kaitlyn Craine had four digs.
