FAYETTEVILLE -- State highway officials will hold a public meeting Thursday on plans to widen another section of Interstate 49 to six lanes and improve interchanges.
The work will extend north 2.5 miles from Porter Road to Fulbright Expressway including the Arkansas 112 interchange.
The meeting is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Asbell Elementary School Cafeteria, 1500 N. Sang Ave.
It will be an open house meeting with no formal presentations. Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department staff members will be on hand to discuss the planned improvements and take public input.
The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments. For more information, contact the department's Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
