Hogs record third straight blowout win

— Arkansas scored two non-offensive touchdowns and easily beat Northern Illinois 52-14 Saturday at Razorback Stadium.

Korliss Marshall returned the game's opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown and defensive tackle Darius Philon returned a fumble 14 yards for a score to give the Razorbacks a pair of quick first quarter scores. Arkansas (3-1) never trailed in its third consecutive win.

Brandon Allen passed for 199 yards and accounted for three touchdowns before sitting the majority of the fourth quarter. Allen threw a 10-yard touchdown to Jared Cornelius just before halftime and a 44-yard touchdown to Keon Hatcher to answer a Northern Illinois touchdown in the fourth quarter. He also rushed for a score.

After passing just 12 times in a win at Texas Tech last weekend, the Razorbacks had balance against the Huskies. Arkansas finished the game with 215 passing yards and 212 rushing yards.

Jonathan Williams ran for a 15-yard touchdown with 21 seconds left in the first quarter to give Arkansas a 21-0 lead. The Razorbacks led 28-7 at halftime.

Allen ran for a 2-yard touchdown in the third quarter and John Henson kicked a 21-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter to extend Arkansas' lead to 38-7.

Hare threw his second touchdown pass - 15 yards to Joel Bouagnon - with 10:05 remaining but the Huskies got no closer. Arkansas responded with Allen's long pass to Hatcher on its next offensive play and Marshall added a 27-yard touchdown run with 3:33 remaining.

Marshall, a sophomore, had not scored prior to Saturday's game. He finished with 137 all-purpose yards.

The Razorbacks' win snapped streaks of 26 consecutive regular season wins and 17 consecutive road wins for NIU. The Huskies fell to 3-1 overall.

Arkansas will face No. 6 Texas A&M next Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Razorbacks will be looking to snap a 13-game losing streak in Southeastern Conference games.
