FAYETTEVILLE -- A Summers man was arrested Tuesday in connection with stabbing a Lincoln man.
Leon Cardinal, 35, of 23558 W. Cincinnati Road was arrested in connection with parole violation, aggravated assault and second-degree battery.
Anthony Valdez was stabbed behind his left arm during a fight with Cardinal at the Cincinnati Mall about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Washington County Sheriff's Office arrest report.
Valdez and Cardinal argued about money. Cardinal told Valdez he was going to cut him, according to the report. Valdez tackled Cardinal and during the altercation Valdez was stabbed.
Valdez went to his home in Lincoln and his wife called the police. He was treated at Washington Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
Cardinal was being held Thursday in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.
