Centerton's Coffee With The Mayor Is Saturday

CENTERTON -- Coffee with the Mayor will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at City Hall.

Attendees will be able to meet with elected officials and learn about what is happening in Centerton this month, according to a news release. City Hall is at 290 N. Main St.

Bob Clinard, county judge, and justices of the peace Susan Anglin and Steve Curry will talk about the rural ambulance vote in the Nov. 4 general election. Two proposals will go before voters.

One proposal would levy 0.2 mills to raise an estimated $833,000 annually. The tax would apply to all residents.

The second proposal, to form an emergency medical services district with a $40 fee, would raise about $527,000 a year. The district would include the unincorporated areas except the area served by the Northeast Benton County Fire Department.

Lance Richardson from Hurley Chiropractic also will attend the event to give free massages and talk about his clinic.

Following the event, representatives from Simmons Foods will conduct a job fair from 1 to 5 p.m. for positions at its Decatur processing plant.

Coffee and donuts will be provided.
