Citizenship Classes To Be Offered In Bentonville

BENTONVILLE -- The Literacy Council of Benton County will offer citizenship classes starting Sept. 30.

The classes will be held at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. each Tuesday at the Bentonville office, 205 N.W. A St. The classes are free, and all material will be provided by the council, according to a news release.

Class size will be limited to 10 students. The small setting will allow for more time to be spent with students.

Those who are interested need to enroll at the council. There will be an assessment to determine a level of English proficiency. Those who feel their English isn't good enough to attend the class can become a traditional student and meet one on one or in a small group with a tutor until they are comfortable attending the citizenship class.
