Members of the media previewed the 'State of The Art' exhibit at Crystal Bridges Museum Of American Art, getting a first look Thursday morning at the exhibit that resulted from a countrywide search by museum curators.

Curators visited 1,000 destinations, met with more than 100 artists in trips that spanned more 100,000 miles, according to the museum's website.
The exhibit includes works on canvas and paper in addition to photography, video, performance art and installations, according to the website.
The exhibit opens to the public Saturday, following a members' preview Friday.
