Chalk: The sidewalks around the Clinton Presidential Center will be a rainbow of colors for the ninth annual Thea Paves the Way event. Presented by the Thea Foundation, the sidewalk chalk event encourages classes, families, community groups and others to let creativity run free while enjoying music and other outdoor activities. Cheese: Perfect the art of scooping and dipping (but no double-dipping) at the World Cheese Dip Championship, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 25 at Bernice Gardens, 1401 S. Main St. Teams will compete in the professional and amateur categories and attendees will get the chance to choose the winner of the People's Choice Award. Registration is open through Oct. 10.
