Authorities are searching for a man missing and possibly drowned in the Illinois River, according to a news release from the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
A witness reported Frank Vinson disappeared Wednesday while swimming in the river near Chamber Springs Road near Siloam Springs, according to the news release. Vinson and his girlfriend were swimming for several hours and jumping off an abandoned bridge, according to the news release.
Authorities have searched land and water, and have used a dive team and sonar. The search will continue this evening with a dog, according to the news release.
