• Celebrity chef Todd English, who has opened restaurants around the country and written multiple cookbooks, was arrested Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated, authorities said. Police in Southampton, N.Y., said English was arrested Sunday morning on a county road on Long Island. He made a court appearance later in the day, and authorities said he posted $1,500 bond. The circumstances of the arrest were unavailable. English's lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., said they "adamantly deny the allegations" and "look forward to addressing this matter in a court of law." The chef, whose full name is William Todd English, is the creative force behind a number of restaurants around the country, including Olives, Figs and Fish Club. He also has been a regular on television programs including Iron Chef USA. In September 2009, his former fiancee was charged with assault, and authorities accused her of hitting him with a metal wrist watch, leaving him needing multiple stitches. The couple had planned to get married, but English called the wedding off.

• Chinese director Jiang Wen launched his latest movie at a Beijing event Monday -- more than three months before it is due to open in cinemas. Gone With the Bullets is a 3-D sequel to Jiang's 2010 political satire Let the Bullets Fly, which featured a bandit posing as a mayor. It grossed $103 million in mainland China. With an estimated budget of $20 million, Gone With the Bullets is set in 1920s Shanghai and revolves around a beauty pageant. Jiang was asked whether he wanted it to make more money than Transformers: Age of Extinction, which became the biggest-grossing film in China in July. Jiang, who also acts in the film, said, "I definitely want to see a big box office for my movie, and I want it as big as possible."

Donnie Wahlberg's "Favorite Girl" Jenny McCarthy is now his wife. The couple tied the knot Sunday in a ceremony outside Chicago, McCarthy's publicist, Brad Cafarelli, confirmed. It's the second marriage for both the 45-year-old Wahlberg and the 41-year-old McCarthy. Wahlberg still performs with New Kids on the Block and also stars in the CBS police drama Blue Bloods. He has two sons from his first marriage. McCarthy recently left The View and now hosts a radio show on SiriusXM. She has a son from her first marriage.
