John Whitman

Where I live: I live off North J Street in Bentonville just a couple of blocks from Crystal Bridges. We wanted to be close to downtown. We bought our house about four years ago. That was when things started booming. There was a lot of shakeup around Crystal Bridges. It's a two-story home that has a very open feel. We really enjoy the layout of it. It flows nicely from room to room, and every room has a purpose.

Occupation: My wife and I own a photography company, Photo Love, that we consider very successful. Ninety-nine percent of the focus is weddings. She spends the majority of her day at home either editing photos or running the business. I work at Rockfish Interactive, which is a digital agency, as a senior program manager.

My favorite space: Our home office.

Why? Our office setup is impressive. If you want to be productive and get anything done in our house, it'll happen in the office. That's where we manage the day-to-day Photo Love business, and I spend time working from home for Rockfish as well. It's set up for maximum efficiency. We've got everything we need to be successful. It's set up in a way that helps me get in the zone for work.

If I could do one thing to improve this space I would: Add more art to get our creative juices flowing.
