A jury found a Fort Smith man guilty Wednesday of first- and second-degree murder in the machete killings of two men.
Gregory Kinsey, 21, was charged with two counts of capital murder in the deaths of Brandon Prince, 39, and Nathan Young, 32. They were killed outside their homes in the 1600 block of North D Street in Fort Smith.
Kinsey was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Prince and second-degree murder in the death of Young.
The state had sought the death penalty against Kinsey.
