Police: Bentonville school employee suspected in additional sexual assaults

A man already being held in connection with rape at the R.E. Baker Elementary School Adventure Club in Bentonville is now suspected in additional deviate sexual activity with two more 6-year-old girls, according to a news release from the Bentonville Police Department.

Ali M. Matar Jr., 21, of Lowell was first arrested May 14 on suspicion of raping a girl at Adventure Club, where he was an employee. He was fired by the district after his arrest.

Matar was originally being held at the Benton County Jail on a bond of $75,000. His bond has now been increased to $250,000, according to the news release.
