BENTONVILLE VS. BRYANT

TIME 10 a.m. Saturday WHERE Razorback Field BENTONVILLE COACH Kristina Henry NOTEWORTHY Bentonville (13-4-1) entered the state tournament as a No. 2 seed and defeated Cabot (3-0) and Mount St. Mary (2-1). Junior McKenzie Dixon scored two goals in a semifinal victory over Mount St. Mary, was selected as the Gatorade Arkansas Girls Soccer Player for 2014 and holds the school record for goals. BRYANT COACH Julie Long NOTEWORTHY Bryant (23-0-3) was a No. 1 seed and beat Rogers (1-0) and Little Rock Central (2-0) to reach its first state title game. Freshman Caroline Campbell scored both goals in the Lady Hornets’ victory over Central.

MOUNTAIN HOME VS. SILOAM SPRINGS

MOUNTAIN HOME COACH Debbie Atkinson

NOTEWORTHY Mountain Home (10-5-1) entered the state tournament as a No. 2 seed and defeated Sheridan (7-1) and El Dorado (3-1). Ana Helmert and Sydney Blevins each scored three goals against Sheridan. Helmert, a freshman, added a goal in the semifinal victory over El Dorado. The Lady Bombers last won a state title in 2011. They also won a state title in 2009.

SILOAM SPRINGS COACH Jason Bowen NOTEWORTHY Siloam Springs (13-10) was also a No. 2 seed. The Lady Panthers defeated Jonesboro (5-0) and Russellville (2-1). Siloam Springs reached the state championship game a year ago, losing to Searcy 2-1. The Lady Panthers lost one of their top scorers midway through the season in junior forward Odalys Palacios. Ingrid Gibson is an offensive threat and freshman Maycee Lance has come on during the state tournament, scoring two goals in a quarterfinal victory over Jonesboro.

Class 5A

HARRISON VS. PULASKI ACADEMY

TIME 2 p.m. today WHERE Razorback Field HARRISON COACH Chris Pratt NOTEWORTHY Harrison won the 5A-West and beat Greene County Tech (6-0), Little Rock Christian (1-0) and Sylvan Hills (4-0) in the state tournament. Sophomore Carlee Spears has been Harrison’s leading scorer this season. She had the only goal in the victory over Little Rock Christian. Harrison will be seeking its fourth state title since 2002. PULASKI ACADEMY COACH Chris Owen NOTEWORTHY Pulaski Academy won the 5A-Central and defeated Hope (8-0), Greenbrier (3-0) and Shiloh Christian (4-1) in the state tournament. Pulaski Academy will be seeking its seventh state title since 2003.

VALLEY VIEW VS. MAUMELLE

MAUMELLE COACH Jessi Beaver

NOTEWORTHY Maumelle (11-7) was a No. 2 seed entering the state tournament. The Lady Hornets defeated Arkadelphia (1-0), Gentry (2-1) and Conway St. Joseph (1-0, PK 4-2). Valley View defeated Maumelle 3-0 on April 22. Senior goalkeeper Madeline Laster allowed one goal during the state tournament. Junior Logan DeKay kicked in the game-winner in a 1-0 first-round victory over Arkadelphia.

VALLEY VIEW COACH Ron Teat

NOTEWORTHY Valley View (18-4-2) was a No. 1 seed entering the state tournament. The Lady Blazers defeated Malvern (8-0), Berryville (6-0) and Central Arkansas Christian (1-0, PK 4-2) during the state tournament. Sophomore Julie Chambers scored six goals during the state tournament. Valley View advanced to the state title game in 2009 and 2012.
