SPRINGDALE HAR-BER VS. BENTONVILLE

TIME Noon, Saturday WHERE Razorback Field HAR-BER COACH Nelson Medina NOTEWORTHY Har-Ber was the No. 6 seed entering the state tournament, but the Wildcats defeated Cabot (3-1), Bryant (1-0) and Fort Smith Northside (2-0) to qualify for the finals. Raul Umana and Erick Perez each scored two goals for the Wildcats (13-8-1) during the state tournament. BENTONVILLE COACH Mike Devaney NOTEWORTHY Bentonville (16-0-1) defeated Rogers (2-0) and Springdale (3-1) in the Tigers’ two state tournament games. Zach Estrada’s header with 15 minutes left in the semifinals broke a 1-1 tie to propel Bentonville to the title game. Bentonville last claimed a soccer state title in 2005.

Class 6A

GREENWOOD VS. RUSSELLVILLE

TIME 8 p.m., today WHERE Razorback Field GREENWOOD COACH Andrew Post NOTEWORTHY Greenwood was a No. 2 seed entering the state tournament. The Bulldogs defeated Sheridan (6-1), Lake Hamilton (1-0) and Jonesboro (1-0). The two teams split their regular-season meetings. Greenwood won the first game 1-0. Russellville won 3-1 in the rematch. RUSSELLVILLE COACH Jared Fuller NOTEWORTHY Russellville was a No. 3 seed entering the state tournament. The Cyclones defeated Fair (8-1), El Dorado (5-0) and Mountain Home (2-1). Russellville earned a state title in 2012.

HOT SPRINGS LAKESIDE

VS. DE QUEEN

TIME 4 p.m., today WHERE Razorback Field LAKESIDE COACH Craig Moses NOTEWORTHY Lakeside, a No. 3 seed entering the state tournament, outscored Pulaski Academy (3-1), Greenbrier (3-0) and Hot Springs (2-1) score during the state tournament. De QUEEN COACH Steven Sloan NOTEWORTHY De Queen won the 5A-South Conference and defeated North Pulaski (8-0), Nettleton (6-0) and Harrison (6-0) during the state tournament.

Class 4A

GREEN FOREST VS. CAC

TIME 4 p.m., Saturday WHERE Razorback Field GREEN FOREST COACH Bradley James NOTEWORTHY Green Forest was a No. 4 seed entering the state tournament, but the Tigers defeated Episcopal (3-2, 2 OT), Cossatot River (3-0) and Valley View (3-1). Senior forward Eric Perez scored two goals in a first-round victory over Episcopal and added another goal in a semifinal victory over Valley View. CAC COACH Fabian Mina NOTEWORTHY CAC (15-2-2) won the 4A-2 Conference and defeated Crowley’s Ridge (6-0), Danville (6-1) and Berryville (3-2) during the state tournament. The Mustangs have won 15 consecutive games and have posted shutouts in 10 of those games. Seniors Billy Sullivan and Eric Bentley and junior Landon Stafford all scored goals in the Mustangs’ semifinal victory over Berryville.
