An Oklahoma City woman was struck and killed Wednesday in a hit-and-run in Little River County, state police reported.
About 2:45 a.m., a vehicle traveling east on Arkansas 32 west of Ashdown struck Eugenia Vasquez-Aponte. The driver did not stop, according to state police.
The county coroner pronounced Vasquez-Aponte, 41, dead at the scene shortly after 4 a.m.
Further circumstances of her death were unclear. An investigation is ongoing.
State police reported that a Texas man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Drew County.
Arthur Wade Jr., 51, of Farmers Branch, Texas, was driving an 18-wheeler west on U.S. 278 when the rig went off the highway and crashed shortly before 3 p.m.
Wade was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner about 4 p.m.
