Democrats to sit on House Benghazi panel

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., announce the committee appointments Wednesday.

House Democrats will participate in the special, Republican-led select committee investigating the deadly 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, despite concerns within the party that the inquiry is an election-year ploy to energize core GOP voters.
