Police arrest suspect in fake-bearded robberies

The Bentonville Police Department arrested a man accused of robbing several businesses around Northwest Arkansas while wearing a fake beard, according to a news release.

Joseph Thomas Lacefield, 50, of Rogers, was arrested about 7 p.m. Tuesday in connection with robbery, according to the news release.

He is suspected in similar robberies at Town Place Suites in Bentonville, Dollar General and Murphy USA in Rogers and Career Academy of Hair Design in Springdale, according to the news release.

Lacefield was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.
