Walmart plans to open a Walmart Express in Decatur next winter. The store will be at 154 E. Roller Ave.
The 12,000-square-foot store will carry fresh produce, a full grocery department with a bakery and deli, a pharmacy, health and beauty supplies and select household items. There also will be a gasoline station at the store.
"Decatur is proud to be part of a growing Northwest Arkansas community, and we are pleased to have another business choose our community to call home," Charles Linam, Decatur mayor, stated in a news release.
The store also will feature Site to Store, a service that allows free store delivery for online purchases.
Walmart Express will employ 30 people.
The first Walmart Express stores opened in 2011 in Gentry and Prairie Grove. The retailer operates 20 of the small-format stores across the country.
