SPRINGDALE — The Tyson Family Foundation announced Tuesday a $2 million gift to The Jones Trust to help match a $10 million, 2-to-1 grant from the Walton Family Foundation.
John Tyson said he was his proud to be included in the same company as the Walton family, Harvey and Bernice Jones, the George family and others who have supported The Jones Center for many years.
“The Jones Trust has raised the first $10 million, and is about $3.5 million away from reaching the second $10 million for the Walton Family grant. This donation will help The Jones Center reach that goal,” Tyson said.
John Tyson and his sister, Cheryl Tyson, presented the donation to Ed Clifford, chief executive officer of The Jones Trust.
