Clark Sheehy resigned as head men's basketball coach at John Brown University on Tuesday to accept the head coaching position at Southwest Baptist University.
The Golden Eagles were 154-77 during Sheehy's seven-year tenure, winning a conference tournament championship and a regular season conference title. In 2010, Sheehy led JBU to the Exclusive Eight in the NAIA Tournament.
Sheehy was a player at JBU in the 1990s when his father, John Sheehy, was the program's head coach.
Southwest Baptist is a NCAA Division II program located in Bolivar, Mo. JBU officials said a nationwide search for Sheehy's replacement would begin immediately.
