Mandalay Asian Cuisine opened in August 2012 by husband-and-wife team Lue and Katherine Xiong. The couple has varied experience in southeast Asian cuisine. Lue Xiong's experience is in Chinese-style cooking, whereas Katherine Xiong's is more Thai focused.

The restaurant serves a variety of Chinese and Thai dishes, and also has a sushi bar and a few American-style dishes. The salmon, steak and chicken dinners are intentionally prepared for customers who don't want Asian-style cuisine or who are looking for a healthy alternative.

The salad selections also present alternatives to the stir-fry, noodle or curry dishes.

The Farmington location is on U.S. 62, just east of Arvest Bank. On and off-site catering are available, and the restaurant can be reserved for private events of up to 70 people.

Gabriela's Mexican Grill Restaurant

The recipes served at Gabriela's have been modified throughout the years and originate from the roots of Mexico City. Everything is prepared fresh every day -- the soups, salsa, chips, guacamole -- nothing is served from the day before.

The four page menu offers plenty of traditional Mexican fare, including fajitas, chimichangas, tacos and burritos. A recent menu update added tortilla soup, a sampler platter, tostados Monterrey, vegetarian fajitas and spinach enchiladas.

The original Gabriela's opened in Prairie Grove in 2003. A second location at 330 E. Main Street in Farmington was built from the ground up for the restaurant and offers soaring ceilings, a full-color mural and a covered patio.

Free Wi-Fi is available to guests at both locations. Catering is also available.
