Philippines protests China's work on reef

Philippine Foreign Affairs spokesman Charles Jose delivers a statement Wednesday concerning the Philippines’ protest over China’s reclamation of a disputed reef in the South China Sea.

The Philippines has protested China's reclamation of land in a disputed reef in the South China Sea that it fears will be used to build an airstrip or an offshore military base, the country's top diplomat and other officials said Wednesday.
