Rogers police are investigating the second robbery in a week involving a man with a fake beard.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man wearing blue rain gear, a stocking cap and a fake beard entered Murphy USA, 2112 W. Walnut St., and demanded cash, police said in a news release Wednesday.

On May 8, a man wearing a fake beard and hooded jacket robbed a Dollar General store at 1519 W. Walnut St., according to police.

It is possible but still speculative at this point to say the two incidents were connected, said police spokesman Keith Foster.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robberies to call the Rogers Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at (479) 636-4141.
