Washington County deputies arrested a West Fork man in connection with having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Corey Chandler Land, 23, of 682 E. Thornstone Ave. was arrested Saturday in connection with parole violation and sexual abuse in the second degree. Land is a habitual offender.

Land and the girl had been in contact about two months, according to the affidavit.

The Fayetteville police were contacted by the girl's stepmother in April and told about a possible sexual assault. The girl's stepmother discovered inappropriate conduct between Land and the girl on the girl's Facebook page.

Facebook is an online social networking site.

West Fork police and Crimes Against Children with the Arkansas State Police were notified.

The information on the girl's Facebook page showed Land knew she was 13 years old, according to the affidavit.

Land also went over to the girl's residence where he placed her hand down his pants, and touched her butt, according to the affidavit. The girl said she sneaked Land into her residence about 3 a.m. April 11, where inappropriate touching occurred.

The girl said Land stayed about 10 minutes and left out the back door. The two did not have sex, the girl said in the report.

Land and the girl also had been exchanging cellphone pictures, according to the affidavit. The girl sent pictures of her chest while wearing a bra, and Land sent photos of himself, nude but with his groin area blocked out. Land also left the girl two voicemail messages since the morning of April 10.

Land was being held Sunday at the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
