FAYETTEVILLE -- The city's Historic District Commission on Thursday presented its 2014 Historic Preservation Awards to projects, organizations and individuals that displayed an outstanding commitment to local historic preservation during the past year.
Awards went to:
Best Practices Award
• The Butt Family -- Deepwood House (4697 W. Finger Road)
• Bob and Patty Besom -- Tharp House (15 N. West Ave.)
Mayor's Award for Outstanding Service in Historic Preservation
• Tiffany King and John Cooper -- "Oak Cemetery: A Forgotten Place" documentary
• Frank Sharp -- Mount Kessler Reserve
Partner in Preservation
• Kate Johnson -- Director, Clinton House Museum (930 W. Clinton Drive)
