Rhea Roberts

Where I live: I live in the Governor's Mansion Historic District of the Quapaw Quarter of Little Rock.

Occupation: I have been the executive director of the Quapaw Quarter Association since 2010. And the Quapaw Quarter Spring Tour of Homes starts today (quapaw.com).

My favorite space is: I love the sitting/living room in the front of the house.

Why? The room is off the entry and has plenty of windows so there's a real connection to the street and the neighborhood. It's still fairly new for me to live in a neighborhood, and I love it. This part of downtown is full of amazing houses, unique people and a sense of community I haven't experienced before. This house was built in 1896 and has been added on to, but this room is part of the original home. Out the front window is a wonderful porch and swing and many rosebushes. From this room you can see the foyer and the dining room where lots of meals have been shared with family and friends. I also have a few pieces of furniture that have been in my family for a long time, and some items I've picked up while traveling. I love the way a mix of antique and modern furniture fit in this century-old home. It is also a great place to read on a lazy day.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Spend more time here.
