Man sentenced to 15 years in prison for child porn

FAYETTEVILLE — A Siloam Springs man who pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.

The U.S. attorney's office in Fayetteville says 42-year-old James A. Keith will also have to spend 15 years on supervised release after his prison sentence ends.

Homeland Security Department agents and other authorities searched Keith's home in March 2013. Keith was a registered sex offender and investigators found images of child pornography on electronic devices seized from his home.

Officials say the conviction illustrates the federal government's effort to disrupt trade in illegal images of children.

Keith, who pleaded guilty to a single charge in November, allegedly told authorities he had about 70,000 images of child pornography, including some of very young children being violated.
