BENTONVILLE -- The Arkansas Fraternal Order of Police in Little Rock recently selected Police Chief John Simpson to receive the Outstanding Police Chief Award, according to a news release.

The Bentonville Fraternal Order of Police membership nominated Simpson for the award, which is given for outstanding support and contribution to the Fraternal Order of Police.

Simpson has helped ensure the department and organization work together for a common goal.

Simpson will receive his award June 21 at the State of Arkansas Fraternal Order of Police conference in Fayetteville.
