Lincoln lost its first 4A-1 Conference baseball game late last week, but the Wolves still earned the top seed for the district tournament which begins today at Prairie Grove.
Third-seeded Farmington defeated Lincoln 3-2 a week ago, but Wolves coach Brad Harris said his team had been in a hot streak until that close loss.

"We hadn't lost in about three weeks," Harris said. "We got on a little roll there after spring break."
He's hoping to pick right up where they left off in the postseason, but Harris knows it won't be easy.
"It's very competitive at the top of our league with us, Farmington, Prairie Grove and Gravette," Harris said.
Lincoln (15-6) lost in the first round of the state tournament a year ago to eventual champion Arkadelphia, so Harris believes his team has a chance to make a deep run. But so do a few other conference teams, Harris said.
In 4A-1 softball, the Ozark Lady Hillbillies earned the top seed, with Farmington seeded second. The Lady Cardinals went 6-1 in the league, losing 9-6 at Ozark.
The 4A-1 baseball finals are slated for 6 p.m. Monday, while the softball finals are scheduled at 6:30, following the consolation game. Baseball is not playing a consolation game and the No. 3 and No. 4 regional seedings will be earned based on their district tournament seedings.
3A-1 West Tournaments
Greenland earned the top seed in both the 3A-1 West baseball and softball district tournaments and they will also play host to both events. Both tournaments begin with single games on Friday.
Elkins will take on West Fork at 5 p.m. in baseball, while Green Forest faces Cedarville in softball at 4 p.m. Both winners earn regional tournament berths, while the season ends for the loser.
The Elkins-West Fork winner takes on top-seeded Greenland (9-5) at 11 a.m. Saturday, while the Green Forest-Cedarville survivor also meets Greenland at the same time Saturday on the adjacent softball field.
Greenland and Elkins technically shared the conference softball title with identical 6-2 records, but Greenland (8-4) earned the top seed on a tie-breaker.
Greenland baseball won the league at 6-2 and is led by a strong group of underclassmen. The Pirates start six freshmen and sophomores and are led by freshman shortstop/pitcher Logan Carr, who is hitting over .400.
Both tournament finals are scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday. Neither of the tournament will place a third-place game, so the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds for regional purposes will be awarded to the highest seeded team in the district tournament.
