Public Viewpoint: Honest Arkansans A True Blessing

Last fall, we visited Crystal Bridges Museum. We were impressed by the exhibits, the facilities and the courtesy of attendants. That evening on our way home to west Texas, I was distressed when I realized I left my handbag in the museum. Our daughter called the Crystal Bridges office the next morning. They told her my handbag had been found and would be shipped to me. Just two days later my handbag was delivered to our door with all contents, including the money and credit cards. What a blessing! I was not even billed for shipping costs; however, I joyfully wrote a “thank you” note and made a donation to the museum.

Many times I’ve reflected on the great blessing of someone in Crystal Bridges finding my handbag and turning it into the office staff who forwarded it to me. I’ve shared with many others about the fantastic museum and the integrity and courtesy of the staff and some caring, honest people in Arkansas.

How very much I would like to personally thank those persons who made it possible for me to regain my handbag, but since I do not know them, it occurred to me to just write the local newspaper and express my gratitude for the honest and caring people in Bentonville and those working in the museum. I think of you often and pray the Lord blesses and rewards those who blessed me.
