Batesville’s Billy Moyer took advantage of back-to-back restarts and left everyone else behind in a home-state victory Saturday night.

Moyer, 56, a Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer, passed two cars on a lap 17 restart, then went to the lead on another restart a lap later to win the World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway.

Moyer was rewarded for his aggressive racing with a $10,150 payday.

“When the car’s good you can make things happen like that,” Moyer said. “I’ve been working my butt off to make this car better and tonight it was good enough to make some moves.”

Moyer held off Darrell Lanigan as the final 32 laps were raced caution-free. It was Moyer’s first World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory since April 6, 2013, at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway when he held off Lanigan.

One of the race’s three cautions involved Batesville’s Wendell Wallace, who lost engine belts while running in third place on lap 9. He finished last in 24th place.

Other Arkansas finishes included: Tommy Surrett of Little Rock (13th), Robbie Baker of Bryant (15th), Timothy Culp of Sheridan (16th), Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier (18th), Chandler Petty of Austin (19th), Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville (20th) and Landers of Batesville (21st).
