"Tell your Story, Your Way," a half-day workshop on memoir writing, will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Village Writing School, 177 Huntsville Road in Eureka Springs.

Marilyn H. Collins, award-winning author of history books, how-to books for writers and magazine articles, will lead the workshop. She is noted for her hands-on, interactive and practical workshops for writers.

Preregistration is required, and class size is limited. Cost for the workshop is $25.

Fashion show

helps children

The fifth annual Spring Fashion Show and Tea, with a live flowering plant sale, will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 4444 N. Crossover Road in Fayetteville. The event is sponsored by Altrusa of Springdale.

Proceeds go the Northwest Arkansas EOA Children's House. Tickets are $25.

CIA analyst

speaks Friday

A lecture by former CIA analyst Ray McGovern titled "It's a Crime to Tell the Truth: Iran, Torture, Bill of Rights and Visiting Snowden in Russia" will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Old Main's Giffels Auditorium at the University of Arkansas. The event is sponsored by the OMNIUA Student Organization.

McGovern received the CIA Intelligence Commendation Medal, returning the award on moral grounds. He helped form Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity and the Sam Adams Associates for Integrity in Intelligence.

talks business

"How to Get an SBA Loan" with Pat Walker of Great Southern Bank, former SBA Area manager, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Great Southern Bank in Rogers. Cost is $30.

The U.S. Small Business Administration loan program has helped thousands of small companies get started, expand and prosper. This seminar will discuss what an SBA loan is, eligibility requirements and how to apply for an SBA loan. Those seeking to finance new business start-ups or business purchases and those seeking to expand their existing business are encouraged to attend.

"Website in a Day with Weebly!" will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development, Walton College. Cost is $50.

Participants will be taken step-by-step through creating a free account and creating an attractive, functional, five-page website. All participants receive a free 20-page workbook with detailed instructions.
