Mila Kunis joined her co-star Channing Tatum to promote their movie Jupiter Ascending at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday but deflected questions about her reported engagement to Ashton Kutcher. Kunis wore an engagement ring on her left hand, but when asked about whether she was set to be married, she turned to Tatum. “Am I engaged to Channing? Channing and I love each other,” Kunis said, smiling. Tatum - married with a baby - played along: “Yeah, we’re not engaged yet, just yet.” Kunis said, “We’re getting in that direction though. You know, he has to meet my parents. That hasn’t happened. But one day.” Tatum: “Yeah, step by step, day by day. I haven’t met the crazy Russian family yet. I’m going to bring a lot of vodka though.” Kunis: “Yes, and cognac - both. … They like both. They’re not picky.” It was the first joint appearance by the costars in the summer sci-fi fantasy adventure from the Wachowski siblings Andy and Lana, creators of The Matrix trilogy. Jupiter Ascending is set for release July 18.

Russell Crowe calls the criticism that the film Noah has received “irrational”and says he’s happy audiences can finally see it for themselves. Crowe spoke to The Associated Press on Wednesday night at the New York premiere of the biblical epic, directed by Darren Aronofsky and featuring Emma Watson and Jennifer Connelly, who were also at the event. Noah has been the subject of controversy, with some religious groups claiming the story has been inaccurately portrayed. That has prompted Paramount Pictures to add a disclaimer to its marketing material saying that “artistic license has been taken” in telling the story. The film has also been banned in many Islamic countries where it’s taboo to depict a prophet. “We have endured 12 to 14 months of irrational criticism and now people are starting to see it and to realize how respectful it is and how true to the source material it is and how intense of an experience it is in the movie theater, you know, so that’s cool,” Crowe said.
