FAYETTEVILLE -- This week police made three more arrests related to several gunshots earlier this month in a neighborhood on the west side of town.

The arrests of three men follow that of a fourth and give a clearer picture of what happened when several bullets were fired and no one was injured.

Chaucencey Boles, 24, and Cedric Parker, 26, were arrested Thursday in connection with engaging in violent criminal group activity. Sean Graham, 24, was arrested Friday in connection with the same charge as well as aggravated assault. All three were being held Friday in the Washington County Detention Center.

Graham and Boles had no bond set. Parker was being held on $5,000 bond.

The three men were identified by witnesses of what appeared to be a gunfight March 11 near the intersection of North Chickadee Avenue and West Bluebird Street, according to probable cause reports. The streets are near Interstate 540 and West Wedington Drive.

All three denied having firearms at the time.

Phone records showed several people called about 7:30 p.m., saying at least two men were chasing each other and at least two shots were fired. Children were playing in the streets at the time.

The three men said they were walking near the intersection when they got in an argument with another group of men standing in the driveway of 1283 N. Chickadee Ave., according to the reports. The three men said someone in the other group pulled a gun on them and they fled. Witnesses said Graham also had a gun, however, according to reports.

Boles told police he'd gotten into an earlier dispute over a cocaine purchase.

Boles has been arrested for similar incidents. In 2011, he was one of three men arrested in connection with a shooting incident on Chestnut Avenue that left no one injured. In October, he was arrested in connection with the stabbing of two people.

Delvin Salley, 21, was arrested last week in connection with the incident. He was being held Friday in the detention center on $500 bond.

Requests to police for comment about whether investigators expect more arrests weren't returned Friday afternoon.
