Tualatin jumped out to a 13-0 lead after five innings before Rogers finally broke the ice in the top of the sixth on Carter Forbis' RBI double.

The Mounties scored six more in the top of the seventh. Five consecutive singles by Bryce Bray, Zach Hall, Sage White, Timmy Seldomridge and Zach Arrick plated two runs. White came home on a wild pitch to make the score 13-4. An out later, Forbis drove home a run with a ground out. Brett D'Amico's two-run triple ended the scoring.

Rogers (5-4) wraps up play in the tournament today. Game time and opponent will be determined after the completion of other games.

Rogers Heritage 13, Zion Lutheran 2

Dalton McKaughan and Jacob Kent each went 3-for-4 and combined for seven RBIs to lead the War Eagles to the six-inning win Wednesday at the Hall of Fame National Classic in Pompano Beach, Fla.

The War Eagles (5-2) banged out 13 hits, jumped to a 9-2 lead after three innings and cruised to the win against Zion Lutheran (9-5) of nearby Deerfield Beach, Fla. Colton Wetzler's three-run double highlighted a four-run top of the first for Heritage.

McKaughan, who drove in four, slapped a run-scoring single in the second and two-run double in the third. Kent drove in three runs.

Junior Kacey Murphy (2-0) picked up the win, allowing two runs on four hits over six innings. He struck out six and walked one.

Heritage continues play in the tournament at 3:30 this afternoon.

Bentonville 19, Walnut Grove (Ala.) West End 7

Bentonville erupted for 11 runs through the first two innings and went on to post an easy victory over West End during its first game Thursday at the Gulf Shores Classic 2.

Bentonville struck early with six runs in the first inning, followed by five more in the second. The Tigers forced the 10-run rule with a seven-run outburst in the sixth.

Tony Dutton led the Tigers' 16-hit attack with three hits and drove in four runs, while Brian Gloeckler added two hits and four runs batted in.

Michael Stark (1-0) pitched 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and picked up the victory.

Bentonville 11, Springville, Ala. 2

Jan Timpe and Cory Scroggins combined on a six-hitter in Bentonville's second game Wednesday as the Tigers rolled past Springville, Ala.

Bentonville (9-2) did all the scoring it needed in the first when three runs cross the plate, and the Tigers scored at least one run in five of the first six innings.

Leadoff hitter Troy Cahill went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, while Brian Gloeckler and Chad Musteen each had two hits and two runs batted in.

Timpe (2-0) pitched four innings and allowed two runs on five hits to pick up the win, while Scroggins threw three scoreless innings and recorded the save.

Fayetteville 6, Lake Oswego, Ore. 4

The Bulldogs rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to win for the fourth time in as many games Wednesday at the Coach Bob Tournament in Phoenix.

Cody Davenport had two hits for Fayetteville (8-2) and Kyle Pate delivered a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth to put the Bulldogs ahead for good. On the mound, Walker Powell allowed two earned runs in 5 2/3 innings with six strikeouts to get the win.

The game was called in the top of the sixth when a Lake Oswego player was hit in the head by a pitch and sent to hospital. Fayetteville plays in the championship game of its tournament division at 2:30 p.m. CT today.
