WASHINGTON — The National Archives plans to release another 2,500 pages of documents from former President Bill Clinton's White House on Friday.

The Clinton Presidential Library is disseminating a third batch of previously unreleased records to the public. Records released since February have covered the Clinton administration's unsuccessful health care overhaul plan, Republicans' sweeping victories during the 1994 midterm elections and other topics.

The records come as the former president's wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, considers a 2016 presidential campaign. The records have shed more light on her role within the administration and her aides' attempts to shape her public image as first lady.

About 8,000 pages of records have been released so far.
