Men and boys choir

from NYC to sing

FAYETTEVILLE - The Choir of Men and Boys from St. Thomas Church in New York will perform Choral Evensong at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 224 N. East Ave.

The choir will perform anthems “Sicut cervus” by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, “Bring Us, O Lord God” by William Harris, “I Was Glad” by Henry Purcell and “Let the People Praise Thee, O God” by William Mathias.

The choir, which follows the Anglican choral tradition, is directed by John Scott and tours regularly in the United States and Europe. On this tour, they will also be performing in Dallas, Tulsa, Kansas City, Mo., and Omaha, Neb.

Church to host

motorcycle rally

FORT SMITH - Evangel Temple will host the River Valley Thunder Motorcycle Rally and Show at 2 p.m. Sunday. The church is at Towson and Dodson avenues.

The rally will include a one-hour ride, bike games and trophies in a variety of categories. Winners will be awarded for best pre-1960 car or truck, best muscle car from 1965-1972, best custom bike, best scooter and more. People’s choice awards will also be given. The rally is free.

Monastery to hold

vast garage sale

FORT SMITH - The retreat center at St. Scholastica Monastery, 1205 S. Albert Pike Ave., will have a garage sale 7 a.m.-2 p.m. March 29. Thousands of items will be for sale including furniture, household items, games, books, toys, jewelry, DVDs and CDs, plants, baked goods and more.

Shoppers can use the Trinity Junior High School entrance on Albert Pike Avenue and enter through the east doors of the building.
