ROGERS -- Police are looking for a high-risk sex offender who failed to register as required by state law, according to a news release issued Thursday.

Luke Williamson, 21, of Rogers is a Level 3 sex offender who isn't in compliance with reporting requirements. A warrant for Williamson for failing to comply has been issued, police said.

Police have been looking for Williamson since March 10, but his level of offense was pending until recently, Keith Foster, Rogers police spokesman, said.

Police said previously Williamson was not a high-risk offender, but that changed after the Sex Offender Screening and Risk Assessment Program determined his status.

Williamson is considered a "high community risk," Foster said. A Level 3 sex offender has a history of repeated sexual offenses or strong antisocial, violent or predatory characteristics, or both, according to the release.

Williams is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 155 pounds. He has brown eyes and hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Jarod Slavens at the Rogers Police Department at 479-636-4141.
