Junior Amilcar Gonzalez scored two goals as Springdale cruised past Harrison on Tuesday night.
Gonzalez scored one of the four first-half goals for Springdale (4-1-1), which also got goals from Jose Cervantez, Jose Serrano and Andy Flores before intermission. Gonzalez and Enrique Martinez scored in the second half of the mercy-rule victory.
Springdale will host Van Buren on Thursday.
Girls
Springdale Har-Ber 1, Van Buren 0
Evie Cannon scored the only goal to give Har-Ber a victory over Van Buren on Monday in 7A/6A-West Conference play.
Cannon scored on an assist by Adeline Williams.
"It was a tough match for us rebounding from the weekend," Har-Ber girls coach John Marshall said. "Evie had a great combination play with Adeline to get into the 6-yard box and finish with the left foot."
Harrison 3, Springdale High 0
Class 5A powerhouse Harrison shut out Springdale at Jarrell Williams Bulldog Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Lady Goblins led 1-0 at halftime, then tacked on two second-half goals to hand Springdale (3-6) the loss. The Lady Bulldogs will host Van Buren on Thursday.
