Capt. Nathan Atchison, a deputy with the Benton County Sheriff's Office, was justified in the Feb. 13 shooting of Devin Dean Weaver, according to a news release from Van Stone, Benton County prosecuting attorney.

The shooting happened during a standoff in which Weaver tried to his weapon at deputies, according to the news release.

Weaver is being held in the Benton County Jail in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
