Thomas Menino, 71, the former mayor of Boston, has been diagnosed with an advanced form of an unknown cancer and told the Boston Globe, “My attitude really is, ‘We’ll get through it.’” Mason Endres, 18, who suffered a broken leg, fractured neck and broken nose when a suspected drunken driver crashed into a crowd of people at the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas, got a private concert in her hospital room by members of one of her favorite bands, Jared & The Mill.
