BASEBALL

Bentonville Youth Baseball registration for the spring 2014 season is under way. The league is open to any player living in the Bentonville School District who is at least age 4 on April 30, 2014, but not older than 16 on April 30, 2014. Registration closed in mid-February for players ages 8 and older. Registration for players age 7 and younger continues into March. NWA Senior Babe Ruth coaches meeting will be held March 26 for those interested in coaching in the 2014 Senior Babe Ruth season. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Springdale at the CED offi ce, 1102 Sterwin St. For more information, contact David DeBoard at 966-1063 or dcd0420@yahoo.

BASKETBALL

Bentonville High School will host its TiPs (Tigers in Progress) basketball minicamp Monday in Tiger Arena. The camp is for boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade and will run from 6-8 p.m. both days with players and coaches from Bentonville’s girls basketball team offering instruction. A Northwest Arkansas team is looking for players in grades 1-4 for boys and girls. Focus will be on player development and skill building. Games will be played in NWA, the River Valley, Oklahoma and Missouri. Also looking for players in grades 8-12 boys and girls whose goal is to play college basketball. FOOTBALL

Rogers High and Rogers Heritage football coaching staffs are offering training sessions for Rogers Activities Center football coaches. People interested in coaching should attend at least three clinics. The clinic at Rogers High on Wednesday (offense and defense) from 6-7:30 p.m. at the fieldhouse. The clinics at Rogers Heritage will be March 20 (defense) and March 27 (all). Prospective coaches are encouraged to attend the clinic where their child will attend, but they may attend others. Coaches should sign in and report attendance to Cindy Glynn at [email protected].

KICKBALL

Springdale Parks and Recreation will be holding registration for Adult Kickball through March 28 at the Springdale Youth Center or online at springdaleparks.onlinesignup. org. This coed league based on WAKA rules is a revised version of the nostalgic game that everyone played in their elementary glory days. SOFTBALL

Fayetteville Fastpitch league is taking sign-ups for spring 2014 for girls ages 4-14. This will be a competitive league under USSSA rules and sanctions stressing fundamentals of the game. Registration for Fayetteville Parks and Recreation girls youth fastpitch softball is under way through March 28. The season will run April 14 to June 27. The league is for players ages 4-18, and the cost is $60 or $70 depending on players’ age. The registration fee includes a full jersey, trained USSSA umpires, gear, tournament trophies and an end-of-season participation award. Games will be held at Gary Hampton Softball Complex and Wilson Park softball field.
