Too many celebrities, not enough heroes

Tom Hanks (center), widely regarded as the most trusted man in America, is shown in a scene from Captain Phillips, where he plays a heroic real-life merchant mariner who is not nearly as well known.

Is Tom Hanks more or less worthy of our admiration than the man he portrays in Captain Phillips?
