Rapper Torence “Lil Boosie” Hatch was ordered Thursday to perform 100 hours of community service in New Orleans as part of his four year probation term stemming from a 2009 guilty plea to a marijuana possession charge. Hatch, 31, appeared Thursday before state District Judge Chip Moore, his first court appearance since his release from state prison last week, The Advocate reported. A few fans and heightened security greeted him as he entered the courthouse in Baton Rouge. Moore transferred Hatch’s court supervision to New Orleans, where Hatch is now living, Baton Rouge attorney Lewis Unglesby said. The judge congratulated Hatch for obtaining his GED while serving four years and four months in prison, said Unglesby, who also noted that Hatch had completed programs in substance abuse, anger management, parenting and victim awareness. The Times-Picayune reported that Moore said Hatch should complete his community service by speaking with students at New Orleans-area schools about the importance of staying in school and away from trouble that could land them behind bars. Unglesby said Moore did not place any restrictions on Hatch’s travel, clearing the way for him to possibly go on tour, which he has said he’s eager to do.

The Led Zeppelin catalog has been reissued on CD several times, but the band has always been parsimonious with extras and bonus tracks: A 1990 four-CD compilation of its studio recordings included only one, a stray 1970 B-side. But lately, Jimmy Page, the band’s guitarist and producer, has been rethinking that policy, and when Atlantic/Swan Song kicks off the next round of Zeppelin album reissues June 3 with remastered versions of Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III, fans who already own the albums will have reason to consider shelling out once again. This time the group is offering previously unreleased bonus material. The band’s debut album will come with a concert recorded in Paris in October 1969. The bonus tracks for Led Zeppelin II include alternate mixes or backing tracks for most of the album’s songs, and one unreleased tune, “La La.” And Led Zeppelin III comes with outtakes of seven of the album’s songs, as well as the unreleased “Jennings Farm Blues,” “Bathroom Sound” (an early version of “Out on the Tiles”) and a medley of the blues classics “Key to the Highway” and “Trouble in Mind.”
