BENTONVILLE -- A Granby, Mo., man was being held Friday on $50,000 bond in the Benton County Jail in connection with the rape of a 17-year-old girl.

Lloyd Davies, 35, was booked Monday into the Benton County Jail.

He was arrested in connection with rape, a Class Y felony, which is punishable with a prison sentence ranging from 10 to 40 years, or life imprisonment.

Davies' arrest stems from a rape complaint Bentonville police received in November 2012.

A teen girl reported she worked at a restaurant with Davies, and he helped train her at work, according to court documents.

She said while at work, Davies touched her, and she walked away. The teen reported Davies later grabbed her while she was in the kitchen and she attempted to squirm away.

The teen said Davies then raped her. The girl sent a text to her therapist about Davies raping her. The therapist told her to leave work. The girl provided her boss with an excuse suggested by the therapist and she left.

Davies admitted to kissing and touching the girl, but claimed the teen wasn't emotionally upset by his actions.

Davies also told police he saw the girl texting on her phone and noticed she was upset.

Prosecutors haven't filed charges against Davies.

Davies' arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. April 21 in Circuit Judge Robin Green's court.
