BENTONVILLE -- The city's compost facility will give away wood mulch March 18-22, according to a news release.
Medium grade, unscreened compost and wood mulch will be available during normal facility hours: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The facility is at 2000 N.W. A St.
A skid-steer loader and operator will be available to load pickups and trailers, and a wheel loader and operator will be available to load larger vehicles.
A $20 loading fee will be charged for loading more than 4 cubic yards. Only vehicles less than 108 inches tall can be loaded with the facility's equipment.
Those wanting less than half a cubic yard or have no pickup or trailer will need to bring their own containers and a shovel.
Distribution will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
