Thomas Morgan, a Fort Smith man who performed as Sondance The Clown, was sentenced today to 87 months for one of receipt of child pornography, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge.

Investigators in 2012 found that an IP address associated with Morgan had downloaded child pornography. A subsequent search of Morgan's computer found that he had download "an image of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct," according to the news release.

“To victimize innocent children is both horrendous and inexcusable and is especially disturbing considering that this individual sought opportunities in which he could be around kids by posing as a clown," Eldridge said in the news release. "This defendant has now been brought to justice."
