BASEBALL

• Bentonville Youth Baseball registration for the spring 2014 season is under way. The league is open to any player living in the Bentonville School District who is at least age 4 on April 30, 2014, but not older than 16 on April 30, 2014. Registration closed in mid-February for players ages 8 and older. Registration for players age 7 and younger continues into March. • NWA Senior Babe Ruth coaches meeting will be held March 26 for those interested in coaching in the 2014 Senior Babe Ruth season. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Springdale at the CED office, 1102 Sterwin St. For more information, contact David DeBoard at 966-1063 or dcd0420@yahoo.

BASKETBALL

• Bentonville High School will host its TiPs (Tigers in Progress) basketball minicamp March 17 in Tiger Arena. The camp is for boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade and will run from 6-8 p.m. both days with players and coaches from Bentonville's girls basketball team offering instruction. • A Northwest Arkansas team is looking for players in grades 1-4 for boys and girls. Focus will be on player development and skill building. Games will be played in NWA, the River Valley, Oklahoma and Missouri. Also looking for players in grades 8-12 boys and girls whose goal is to play college basketball. DODGEBALL

• The Rogers Activitiy Center will host a dodgeball league, which will be played Tuesday and Thursday beginning the week of March 10. Cost is $125 per team with five-person rosters. Individuals may sign up to be placed on a waiting list and then a team if numbers allow. Registration deadline is Feb. 28.

FENCING

• Northwest Arkansas Fencing will hold registration for March Introductory Fencing Classes. March classes will run Monday and Wednesday starting March 3. Classes are from 6 to 7 p.m. and run for three weeks (six classes). A new class for girls only, Little Musketeers, is forming for ages 6-9. Classes run 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. FOOTBALL

• Rogers High and Rogers Heritage football coaching staffs are offering training sessions for Rogers Activities Center football coaches. People interested in coaching should attend at least three clinics. The clinic at Rogers High on March 12 (defense), March 19 (both) from 6-7:30 p.m. at the fieldhouse. The clinic at Rogers Heritage will be March 6 (offense), March 13, 20 (defense), March 27 (all). Prospective coaches are encouraged to attend the clinic where their child will attend, but they may attend others. Coaches should sign in and report attendance to Cindy Glynn at [email protected].

GOLF

• The Bella Vista Women's Five-Hole Golf Association is now accepting members for the 2014 season. Kickoff brunch is March 31 at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista. Registration is at 10 a.m. and brunch at 10:30 a.m. The cost of brunch is $10, and annual dues are $12. Applications are available at [email protected]. All POA members are welcome. No handicaps.

• The Bella Vista Women's Nine-Hole Golf Club is currently seeking new members for the 2014 season. Membership dues are $25 for the season, which runs April 7 to October. • The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas is now accepting 2014 annual registrations for youth ages 7 to 18. The $30 registration fee provides access to registration for the seven monthly sessions of programming and 16 weeks of summer golf camp, discounted participant fees at the Tyson First Tee Learning Center and ability to participate in the "Get Them Playing" program (discounted greens fees at local golf courses). • The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas is searching for both paid and volunteer coaches, with a special need for female and Spanish-speaking individuals. • The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas will be offering the Powerade Golf League spring season in April and May. • Springdale Parks and Recreation will be holding registration for Adult Kickball on March 17-28 at the Springdale Youth Center or online at springdaleparks.onlinesignup.org. This coed league based on WAKA rules is a revised version of the nostalgic game that everyone played in their elementary glory days. SOFTBALL

• Springdale Parks and Recreation will be holding registration for Adult Softball through March 14 at the Springdale Youth Center or online at springdaleparks.onlinesignup.org. Men's league costs $425 for 14 games plus a postseason tournament with games being played Monday and Wednesday. Coed league costs $350 for 12 games plus a post season tournament with games being played on Tuesday and Thursday. Games are scheduled to begin the week of March 31. • Fayetteville Fastpitch league is taking sign-ups for spring 2014 for girls ages 4-14. This will be a competitive league under USSSA rules and sanctions stressing fundamentals of the game. • Registration for Fayetteville Parks and Recreation girls youth fastpitch softball is under way through March 28. The season will run April 14 to June 27. • The McDonald County (Mo.) Lady Mustang volleyball team is hosting an adult coed tournament March 22. The cost of the tournament is $80 per team. All members of the championship team will receive championship T-shirts. The team is also selling event T-shirts for $10 and barbecue chicken lunches the day of the tournament for $6.
