Benton County

The Neighborhood Church in Bentonville, 2003 S.W. Regional Airport Blvd., will hold a nextSTEP Sunday this week. A luncheon, catered by Red Onion Espressoria, will celebrate Stewarship Sunday for the congregation.

Highlands United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 371 Glasgow Road, sponsors the Serving Our Savior youth group in a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday. St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, 1 St. Bernard Lane, presents Nadine Tree Nehing, a hall of fame author speaking to the women's club at 9:30 a.m. Friday. She will speak about "The 'To Die for' Ozarks Mystique."

Stations of the Cross will begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The annual St. Patrick's Day dinner, sponsored by the Men's Club, will be served at 6 p.m. March 15. The planned meal is an Irish dinner of corned beef and cabbage. Tickets are $10 each.

Washington County

Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, 6 W. Dickson St., holds three informational meetings to communicate the vision and excitement of Central's new campus. Meetings are planned for noon Sunday, 11 am. March 16 and noon March 16 in Wesley Chapel.

The Islamic Center of Northwest Arkansas in Fayetteville, 1420 W. Center St., and Muslima of the University of Arkansas offer two lectures by guest lecturer, Yusuf Estes. "What Attracts 1.6 Billion People to Islam?" runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, and "Compassion in Islam" from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Estes is an international Muslim preacher from Texas. He is the founder of the first American Islamic TV channel and has served as a delegate to the United Nations.

The Goddess Festival runs March 16-23 at the OMNI Center for Peace Justice and Ecology in Fayetteville, 3274 N. Lee Ave. The mission of the festival is to "restore balance in the world, by encouraging exploration of the feminine divine through art, music, words, dance and shared knowledge." The opening ceremony begins at 3 p.m. March 16.
